Jamb Caps is The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board JAMB Central Admission Processing System CAPS portal [i.e. caps.jamb.gov.ng], where UTME and Direct Entry candidates can express their ACCEPTANCE or REJECTION of their admission offer, any time the log in to the portal

Now you might be wondering how you can go about that.

First step

Students are to create a jamb profile. Jamb profile is like a profile for a particular candidate which shows the candidate dashboard the dashboard might include features like.

The candidate full name this section display the candidate full name which he/she use during the jamb registration, i.e welcome (anaglueupdatehub.com) or any name you use to register during your jamb registration

Profile code The Profile Code is a 10 digit number used to complete profile registrations on the JAMB portal. The Code is unique to every JAMB candidate who registered for the exam, meaning no two applicants can have the same profile code. This code will be used to access any candidate's profile on the JAMB Portal.

The section for printing of post utme result as the name implies is use to print out candidate result through jamb portal if clicked it will take you straight to the payment process after which such candidate can access his or her results (candidate are advise to do this in an accredited jamb center).

NOUN REGISTRATION 

this are other exam board and institution which gives Admission to candidate in this section should in case a candidate is interested in NOUN REGISTRATION he or she will be promoted to the section by which there can purchase the registration form and participate in the registration processes 

Part time registration 

as the name implies students who are interested in part time program are advice to click on this section and proceed with the processes, (purchasing the part time form for a particular institution).

Registration for directly entry 

firstly who are direct entry candidate Jamb Direct entry is one of the means to gain admission in Nigeria, there are others though like JUPEB , IJMB, NABTEB A' level , Jamb UTME. Direct entry for jamb is primarily for those that already possess a diploma certificate and want to go for a degree programme in the university. this candidate are to follow this section for their registration processes.

The section for printing of admission letter as the name implies means candidate having access to this filed to print their admission letter from their jamb portal after which the institution there aspire for have given them admission, there are to print the admission letter in which there are required to provide during Physical registration.

Regularize admission

firstly what is a regularize admission?

JAMB Regularization is the act to ensure that JAMB Board validates candidates' current admission details with the school that offered admission to such candidates in their database with the aim of either granting one gateway of securing admission and granting admission letter/registration Number.

How is jamb caps important to candidate

The central admission processing system (CAPS) this is very important to all candidate because Candidates can have access to their dashboard on CAPS with their JAMB Registration Number and be able to know their admission status at any time. Moreso When a candidate is not given the course he or she applied to study, the candidate can either accept or reject the admission offer.

1. JAMB’s major role in the admission process is to ensure candidates are treated fairly in the admission process as well as ensuring institutions keep to their set criteria for admission will ensure all Tertiary institutions to follow what they advertised in their various Brochures and the JAMB CAPS helps ensure that.

2. Obtaining a high score in JAMB UTME does not automatically qualify a candidate for admission in any school. Such a candidate must equally meet the criteria or other standards that may be set by the institution he or she selected. These criteria include; Post-UTME screening, O’level result grading, State of origin, Gender, Science to Arts ratio etc. The JAMB CAPS will confirm you meet these requirements depending on the criteria set by your school of choice before admission will be given.

3. The O’Level result submitted by candidates must be verified before a candidate is given admission. So ensure that your O’level details are correct.

4. The Central Admission Processing System enables JAMB to verify the O’level results uploaded by candidates directly from the examination bodies like WAEC, NECO, and NABTEB

5. With the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS), no institutions or anyone else can admit anybody under the table or give anyone a “backdoor admission”

7. There is a marketplace where institutions can demand candidates who met the admission criteria of the institution but have not been admitted or have rejected the admission offered to them regardless of whether or not such candidates chose them during JAMB registration.

7. Candidates can have access to their dashboard on CAPS with their JAMB Registration Number and be able to know their admission status at any time.

8. When a candidate is not given the course he or she applied to study, the candidate can either accept or reject the admission.

9. Candidates can equally accept or reject any offer for “admission consideration” which is different from the “offer of admission.” like I explain earlier which is the most important aspect.

10. The Central Admission Processing System is very secure. Anyone that tries to break it will fail and if the person by chance succeeds, the person will find him or herself in EFCC or ICPC list.

1st login to your portal

2rd locate the check admission status

3rd input your registration number

4th click on check Caps

It will load and you can proceed to do what so ever you wish to do or see in your Caps
