Suspected terrorists on Thursday night attacked a military post along the Abuja-Kaduna Highway close to Zuma Rock in Niger State. The ensuing gunshots left many motorists and commuters jumping out of vehicles, scampering for safety. As at this time, it is not clear if there are

casualties.

Security reinforcements were later dispatched to the scene to contain the terror gang. Thursday's incident comes few hours after the National Security Council meeting and the just four days after the elite guards were attacked in Bwari Area Council of the FCT. Lately, many public and security formations have reinforced safety measures while assuring guaranteed protection of lives and property in and around the FCT.
